Products

Skin Affinity's products are carefully formulated, offering you the correct amount of actives for your particular skin need.  Many of these actives are ones you've heard of before.  The prestige high priced department store lines, physicians product lines and on line stores, unless specifically stated, have no where near the proper percentage of actives to actually help correct you skin problem.  Some of the ingredients can be improper, even damaging to skin.  Skin Affinity uses the best antioxidants, herbs, botanicals, cosmeceuticals available.  We use the smallest amounts of preservatives and other additives to stabilize, and preserve them.

Every ones skin is different.  You have a unique chemistry, matrix and structure of your skin.  Members of the same family can have different skin types.  What works for you may not work for you mother.  What works for your sister may not work for you.  Your immediate family members may have the same general type of skin, whether, dry, oily, fair, dark etc. but not the very same as your skin.  You may have a very resistent skin type. Your skin may not respond well or at all to skin care products.   Perhaps you already understand your skin's makeup.  The  ingredients, actives, botanicals, herbs we use have clinical studies that document their effectiveness on skin.  Once you know  your skin, you can buy the best products for it.  Our  products are created for general and specific uses.  You can trust that our products will be the best you can buy.

Actives

Actives are the ingredient(s)  in a skin product that causes an affect on the skin.  Some examples are Vitamin A, Copper, and Vitamin C.  These actives have a direct affect on the skin.  In-actives are ingredients that have no action on the skin.  Some examples are water, preservatives, colorants, and fragrances.    While the FDA does not regulate skin and cosmetic products, they do insist in a uniform  label.  The highest percentage of ingredients must be listed first, followed in order, by lesser percentages of ingredients.  It is important to read the ingredients of all skin and cosmetic products you buy and use.  Know and understand what's going on your skin.  Be an informed consumer.  The internet is the only tool you need to become and stay informed about the products you buy.

Your skin is not replaceable. It is the largest organ of the human body.  Skin  plays major functions and roles in your total health.  Take care of it, invest in it, and it will repay you with many benefits.
